House Rules

We expect you to honor our home as though you're at your own home!

Rules for Short-term renters are below, but also apply to long term renters from this site. :)

No smoking or pets. I'm a bit of a clean freak so keep this in mind when you book, but also know your space/rooms will be CLEAN and IN ORDER when you arrive! :)

If In Doubt - Rental Rules:
1.Smoking is NOT allowed within premise nor outside near the premise. Non-compliance of this rule (and any others of this agreement) could result in charges to remediate any situation resulting from the RENTER not faithfully adhering to all terms, conditions, and covenants of this Agreement.
2.People other than those in the renter’s party may not enter the premises (without the OWNER’s prior permission) or stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of RENTER.
3.The properties within the neighborhood are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the neighborhood premises or its facilities (e.g. golf course). The homeowners of the neighborhood are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all members of the renter party are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the Premises or others whom they invite to use the Premise.
4.Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
5.Only use appliances for their intended uses.
6.Pets are NOT allowed.
7.Parking is limited to one (1) vehicle within the parking space directly at front entrance (1). Other vehicles may be parked in the street in designated parking areas only. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing and applicable fines/towing fees, all of which are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
8.Please inquiry about use of propane Grill and Deck prior to use to ensure no conflict of plans by all parties.
9.Ensure audio level of music and television are turned down after 10:00pm on weekdays and 11:00pm on weekends for considerations of all parties.
10.Remove shoes before entering the house and place on allocated floor mats at the door entrance.
11.Use of illegal substances or drugs are NOT allowed within premise nor outside near the premise. Non-compliance of this rule (and any others of this agreement) could result in charges to remediate any situation resulting from the RENTER not faithfully adhering to all terms, conditions, and covenants of this Agreement.
12.There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included with the designated rental space, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels if your stay or travels require you to have towels outside of the premise. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the premise.

Meet Holt

I've lived in Colorado since 1998 and can't imagine living any other place.

I’m adventurous and willing to try most anything once if it’s legal. I totally enjoy being outdoors cycling, playing tennis, hiking, skiing or just dining out on the patio with a nice bottle of wine. I love to cook and entertain with a lenient policy of “those who cook don’t clean up”, unless its a big mess. I'm an independent man who likes choices in life and is capable of making both simple and tough decisions. As a father of two awesome boys (young men now) my natural disposition is to be a provider and protector, but I’m also very much a caregiver making breakfast and packing lunches to get my younger child off to school in the morning. :)

One of my mantras is "Life is 10% of what's given to you and 90% of what you make of it". I believe that happiness comes from within and that forgiving others is a conscious choice of offering grace. In my friendships and especially in a relationship: Honesty, Trust, Loyalty and Respect are essential. My boys and I are very close (best friends) and we regularly hand sign to each other “Love Ya” on our departure (even at school drop-off).

My life seems hectic so a simpler life appeals to me, like owning a bakery or painting as an artist. However, the hours would be dreadful owning a bakery and I unfortunately lack the true talent to be a good artist. Okay, so they’re more of a joke (not a dream) than real alternatives for me!
