Silvernest Adds CFO and CMO to Executive Management Team

Kelly Hickey and Scott Dingfield bring more than 40 years combined experience to lead the continued growth of the roommate matching service for Americans ages 50+


Boulder, Colo. – March 16, 2016 – Lifestyle technology startup, Silvernest today announced the expansion of its executive management team. Kelly Hickey joins Silvernest as CFO, and Scott Dingfield takes on the role of chief marketing and innovation officer. Both executives will work directly with CEO and co-founder Wendi Burkhardt to lead the continued growth of Silvernest’s roommate matching service as an “aging in place” alternative for Americans ages 50 plus.

Executive Bios

  • Kelly Hickey is a seasoned financial and accounting professional with experience spanning venture startups to large public companies. She recently served as vice president of accounting for consumer data collection company Datalogix that was eventually acquired by Oracle. Previously, Hickey was the vice president of finance and corporate controller for RE/MAX, serving as an executive management lead for the real estate franchise company’s IPO.

    Hickey will apply these strengths to Silvernest by focusing on the effective establishment and management of the company’s finance and administrative functions. She graduated the University of Colorado – Boulder with a BA in accounting and marketing. Hickey lives in Superior, Colorado with her husband and two daughters.

  • Scott Dingfield has been working with individuals and families for more than two decades to help them realize a future full of growth and potential. Prior to Silvernest, he was chief marketing officer for Home Instead Senior Care, the world’s largest in-home, private duty, senior care provider, where he contributed to a 333% increase in revenue to $1.3 billion annually. His extensive product development experience culminated in his leadership of new product innovation at Home Instead, launching multiple new offerings – from ideation to delivery – for more than 65,000 customers in 14 countries.

    At Silvernest, Dingfield will prioritize go-to-market strategies and product development, as well as thought leadership initiatives to position Silvernest as a leading voice in the aging community. His experience in aging in place service and support models will be a proven asset to Silvernest and its customers. He graduated the University of Nebraska – Omaha with a BS in journalism. Dingfield continues to live in Omaha, Nebraska with his wife and twin daughters.
